Mixed Flowers Card

Hello. This is my second post for today and I have another card.

This car was made using Mixed Flowers stamp and embossing folder set from Hero Arts and Sizzix.

I randomly  added blue, yellow and pink ink to my stamp and stamped on white card.
I glued the stamped image onto a blue mat.
Using a border punch I created a decorative strip and I added some blue ribbon and some pearls.
I stamped the sentiment and added it to the card using foam dots.
I also added tiny pearls to the centers of the embossed flowers.
The colors don't look as nice in this picture as they are in person.

I am entering this card in the Hero Arts Nature Challenge.

Flowery mini album

Hello!

Today I' sharing some pictures of a mini I made for my brothers' wife.
She loves lace and flowers and I tried to make the mini as girly as possible. I used Spellbinder and Sizzix dies to make the frames and tags and lots of pearl trim.
She is not a scrapbooker so it is mainly for pictures and not very interactive.
Let me know what you think and have a great day.

All the butterflies in the album were cut out and glued to the page by adding glue only to the center part. This leaves the wings free to fold up and create dimension.

The rectangular frames have removable tags.

The frames have removable tags. The butterfly on the right is glued onto wire to make it as if she was flying.

These tags are also removable and the frames have acetate.

This was my first time making a slider and it was quite fun.

Easel Card

Here is a quick easel card I  made last night.

I used alcohol markers on the image... I am new at this but I think the result was ok.The image is from Penny Black's Mimi's loves and the sentiment is Stampendous Spanish Greetings.
I used my Spellbinders labels 20 dies to create a mat for my image then made some flowers to embellish the card.  I also added some small butterflies, some flat back pearls and some ribbon. The bow is what keeps the card upright. I finished it by  adding the sentiment with some foam adhesive.

The base is a 5x10 piece of card. I used my Scor pal and scored at 5 then at 7.5 inches and folded. To this I added a 5x5 piece of card then I embellished.

Altered Tin

I am trying to get my craft space organized and I decided to re-cycle some empty cookie tins. I started by mixing a small amount of paint with some gesso and painting the tin. I found some white lace, colored it with my inks and added it to the box using tacky glue.
On the lid I used a doily stencil and some modeling paste. After it was dry I added color with distress ink and added some shimmer  with Peal Ex powders.
For the flowers I used dies from Spellbinders and Tim Holtz tattered Florals .  They were made using cream card stock and I added the color using inks and home made glimmer mists. I added some seed beads to the centers of the flowers and made the small  bead spray.
The small butterfly is a sticker. I added a piece of clear plastic, cut around it then added pink color. I finished the box by adding some pink bling around the lid and the bottom.
I had so much fun that I am working on a second one. They just remind me of spring.

Stocking stuffers 2 - Handmade flower pins

OK here is a second post. I decided to make cards to hold some pins and earrings I made using fish scales.

I liked the way my first cards came out so I decided to make a couple more using the same Stampendous stamps. I used a stamp from the Halloween charms set to decorate the corners of the cards for the earrings and the white rose pin. For the pink flower I used the border stamp from the Jumbo Hollyhocks . I only used the center portion of the stamp to add the detail on the card.
I think this makes for a cute presentation...now all they need is a small box.

Christmas stocking stuffers

I've been quite busy crafting this week. I decided to bring out my ribbon stash and put it to use and here is what I came up with.

These flowers are hair clips. The cards are simply made by cutting a square out of cardstock and punching some small holes for the clip. I decided to embellish the holders by using stamps. For the orange flower I cut an oval shape and used the border stamp from my Stampendous Jumbo Hollyhock. I only inked the two scrolls at the end of the border stamp so it fit perfectly on the curve of the card. The card for the white flower is a 3.5" square and I used a stamp from the Stampendous
Halloween charms to embellish  each corner. I just love the scroll on the small stamp and you can't tell it is from a Halloween set.

Flower Pins

Today I have something different. These are some pins I made to give as stocking stuffers this Christmas.
They are made with the scales of a fish called " sabalo" which I believe is Tarpon in English... and in case you are wondering, they do not smell fishy.
The scales were cleaned and left to dry then I used fabric dye to color them.
I used hot glue to hold the petals in place and I added some glimmer mist to add a little sparkle.
