CAS Holiday card

I have a last minute Christmas card to share.  I didn't have much time so I decided to keep it simple.

I used my new Stampendous Manger Family stamp and Prismacolor pencils. I embossed the stars using a sizzix folder then added some diamond Stickles to the stars. The stamped image was fussy cut then added to the background using 3L foam squares. The colors in the picture look a little washed out but they are a little more vibrant.
Enjoy and have a wonderful Christmas.

Stocking stuffers 2 - Handmade flower pins

OK here is a second post. I decided to make cards to hold some pins and earrings I made using fish scales.

I liked the way my first cards came out so I decided to make a couple more using the same Stampendous stamps. I used a stamp from the Halloween charms set to decorate the corners of the cards for the earrings and the white rose pin. For the pink flower I used the border stamp from the Jumbo Hollyhocks . I only used the center portion of the stamp to add the detail on the card.
I think this makes for a cute presentation...now all they need is a small box.

Christmas stocking stuffers

I've been quite busy crafting this week. I decided to bring out my ribbon stash and put it to use and here is what I came up with.

These flowers are hair clips. The cards are simply made by cutting a square out of cardstock and punching some small holes for the clip. I decided to embellish the holders by using stamps. For the orange flower I cut an oval shape and used the border stamp from my Stampendous Jumbo Hollyhock. I only inked the two scrolls at the end of the border stamp so it fit perfectly on the curve of the card. The card for the white flower is a 3.5" square and I used a stamp from the Stampendous
Halloween charms to embellish  each corner. I just love the scroll on the small stamp and you can't tell it is from a Halloween set.

Holiday Ornament

Here is a Christmas ornament I made this week.

I used the Stampendous Precious Nativity stamp and I used pencils to add color.
The papers are from DCWV Coral Couture stack and they cover a chipboard base. They match perfectly with the recipients color scheme.
I used micro glitter all around the edges and added punched flowers made to look like small poinsettias.

I am entering this ornament in:

Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment.

Flower Pins

Today I have something different. These are some pins I made to give as stocking stuffers this Christmas.
They are made with the scales of a fish called " sabalo" which I believe is Tarpon in English... and in case you are wondering, they do not smell fishy.
The scales were cleaned and left to dry then I used fabric dye to color them.
I used hot glue to hold the petals in place and I added some glimmer mist to add a little sparkle.

Disney Mini Album

I made this mini album for my nephew who just got back from his first trip to Disney.
The cover measures 8 x 6.25 inches and the pages are 5.75 x 7.5 inches. The patterned paper used is from Reminisce . The album is quite simple and meant to just hold photos so it is not very interactive.

The first page has a booklet that opens up and holds two photos inside.

Most of the pages have  side pockets that hold a simple photo mat. All mats are made to hold 4 x 6 photos.

These two pages hold booklets with two mats each. The front was kept plain and can also hold a photo.
The stickers used to hold the mats are dimensional plastic.

This is the back cover. I has a multi flap page with an outside pocket .
The multi flap page opens up and holds 7 photos. The Mickey ears can also hold a photo behind.

American Summer

The Stampendous challenge for July is a project depicting what summer means to us. I created these cards because summer for me is the time when kids enjoy their free time from school.
I  think these Kiddo stamps are perfect for that.

Flower Card- Stampendous

I have been busy this week. Here is another card. This one was created for the Stampendous monthly challenge.

The stamp used was jumbo Hollyhock from Stampendous.
The image was colored with pencils then fussy cut and attached to the mat with foam dots. I applied a little glossy accents to the center of the flowers . The smaller mat and the sentiment are also attached with foam dots to create a little more interest. The image was too big for my card so  I cut the top part off to fit the card and used the small part decorate the inside of the card.

"Make your own stamp"-Card

This card was made for the "Make your own stamp" challenge posted on Page maps. The papers are K&Company . I used Tim Holtz spiced marmalade ink and stamped the image(heart) twice, cut it, added foam dots to crate dimension and finished with some fibers for a little interest.

To make the stamp I simply drew a heart on a piece of foam, I cut it and adhered it to the stamping block with removable adhesive dots.
Here is a picture of the stamp.

Embossed Mother's Day card

This is a card I made for my mother in law using my sizzix Texture Boutique and the Swirls & Dots embossing folder. The pink tag was made with the Daisies folder and the funny looking thing on the border is glitter. It looks better in person.  Quick and easy to make.

Spring card- my 1st post

I am new to blogging and am trying to get the gist of it. I figured it was time I tried to join the world.
I have some free time on my hands and I started making cards. This is one I made for the DCWV April card challenge.
