Flower bird house

This is my third post today and here is another birdhouse box.
I had so much fun with the first one that I decided to make a second.  I thought the flowers and the colors in the paper were just perfect for this project.

Flowery mini album

Hello!

Today I' sharing some pictures of a mini I made for my brothers' wife.
She loves lace and flowers and I tried to make the mini as girly as possible. I used Spellbinder and Sizzix dies to make the frames and tags and lots of pearl trim.
She is not a scrapbooker so it is mainly for pictures and not very interactive.
Let me know what you think and have a great day.

All the butterflies in the album were cut out and glued to the page by adding glue only to the center part. This leaves the wings free to fold up and create dimension.

The rectangular frames have removable tags.

The frames have removable tags. The butterfly on the right is glued onto wire to make it as if she was flying.

These tags are also removable and the frames have acetate.

This was my first time making a slider and it was quite fun.

Altered Tin

I am trying to get my craft space organized and I decided to re-cycle some empty cookie tins. I started by mixing a small amount of paint with some gesso and painting the tin. I found some white lace, colored it with my inks and added it to the box using tacky glue.
On the lid I used a doily stencil and some modeling paste. After it was dry I added color with distress ink and added some shimmer  with Peal Ex powders.
For the flowers I used dies from Spellbinders and Tim Holtz tattered Florals .  They were made using cream card stock and I added the color using inks and home made glimmer mists. I added some seed beads to the centers of the flowers and made the small  bead spray.
The small butterfly is a sticker. I added a piece of clear plastic, cut around it then added pink color. I finished the box by adding some pink bling around the lid and the bottom.
I had so much fun that I am working on a second one. They just remind me of spring.
