Tim Holtz February tag challenge
Hi everyone!
This is my tag for the Tim Holtz 12 tags challenge. I didn't have all the materials he used so I improvised.
I used paper from Tim's Wallflower stack and scraps from my stash to create the collage.
I cut 2 hearts from a scrap of fabric and glued them together. I used "festive berries " re-inker to add color to the heart and the arrow is an ideology sticker. I glued the heart to a resin frame that I colored with Distress paints.
I was feeling lazy so instead of sewing I used a stamp to create the stitching around the tag.
I created the corner piece by cutting a metal jewelry finding I had in my stash and I colored it with alcohol ink. I also colored the small heart brad on the top corner of the tag and the small heart that hangs from the metal key.
I found the hearts lace in my stash and it was a pale blue color , so I used my inks to distress it a bit and add it to the tag.
Here is the link for Tim's challenge.

Tropical Tags
Today I was playing with the Jumbo Parrot Stamp from Stampendous and this is what I created...tags.
The parrot in this tag is made of cold porcelain. You can find recipes on you tube.
I made the porcelain, stamped the image, cut the excess off and left the image to air dry for a few days. I used watercolor paper to create the background. I stamped the leaves using Versamark then used clear embossing powder. I used watercolor pencils and my inkpads to color in the leaves and the background. I added some aged embossing enamel for the grass and around the edges of the tag. I finished with some fibers on the bottom border. The background was sprayed with glimmer mist in green and yellow and the parrot has blue pearl ex on the feathers.
The top image is stamped on cardstock and the bottom one is the porcelain. You can see it shrinks a bit.
The image on the left is the parrot stamped on regular cardstock and the one on the right is the back of the porcelain one. I left it unpainted so you could see what it looks like.
Materials used:
Stampendous Jumbo Parrot Stamp
Stampendous aged teal embossing enamel
Clear embossing powder
Watercolor pencils, inks
Pearl Ex powders
