Altered Clock

Hello.

Today I'm sharing a clock I made  as a Father's day gift for my brother.

I started by adding blue acrylic paint to my gesso and painting the clock.  Next I played with walnut stain , bronze and copper paints until I was pleased with the color.  I added some embossing enamel and mica flakes to the front .
I  found the pattern for the wings online and I made them out of a double layer of cardstock. I cut them , drew the feathers then added modeling paste. I used my heat tool to dry the paste and it bubbled up and created a very interesting texture. I attached them to the clock with glue and added hinges.
The eyes are from  G45 Curiosity Shop papers and I added glossy accents.
I also made a mini album to go inside. I used the back cover as a template to cut my cardstock pieces.

For the inside back cover I used adhesive fabric. I used distress paints to create a background, then used my Tim holtz stamps. I added 2 magnets to the metal cover before attaching the fabric and that is what holds the mini  inside the clock.

For the back, I embossed a chipboard piece and I used a Tim Holtz stamp.

My pictures don't show the different shades of colors and textures...I need more practice.

Thanks for looking!
